Travel News Asia Wednesday, 5 July 2006

Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) has appointed Mr. Simon Nowroz as Managing Director, Cendant Travel Distribution Services, Asia. Effective immediately, Nowroz replaces Mr. Mark Rizzuto, who has decided to return to Australia.

For the past 12 months, Nowroz has been operating as Acting Managing Director, providing Rizzuto the time to focus on important strategic opportunities in Asia. In addition, he has been an integral part of the Asia management team and lead point man for driving business strategy. As Managing Director, Asia, Nowroz will report directly to Gordon Wilson, President and CEO B2B International Markets.

Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, Nowroz held the position of Vice President Sales & Markets, Asia for Cendant TDS. In his role he managed and expanded the business for Cendant TDS with significant and positive shifts in the market share in Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

Nowroz’s travel sector experience includes posts with British Midland Airways, where he held sales and marketing roles during the airline’s expansion into Continental Europe, and two years with Budget Rent a Car, where he led the commercial and partnership marketing function for Budget’s EMEA operations. He later headed the travel and transport consulting practice of Computer Science Corporation (CSC), a multinational IT services company.
