Search ASIA Travel Tips .com Monday, 5 June 2006

Korean Air has launched a thrice weekly service between Incheon and Hakodate using Boeing 737 aircraft.

Flights depart Incheon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and arrive in Hakodate at 12:05 p.m. the same day. The actual flying time is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Return flights leave Hakodate at 1:55 p.m. arriving at Incheon at 4:55 p.m.

Hakodate is the port located in the southern part of Hokkaido and it is the first Japanese port opened to international trade. Complementing the airline’s existing service on Incheon~Sapporo and Busan~Sapporo routes, the new direct route between Incheon and Hakodate is expected to meet the increasing travel demand and should attract more tourists to the region.

With the additional service to Hakodate, Korean Air now operates to 14 Japanese cities from Korea.
