Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Opens New Hotel in Amsterdam

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened the new 4-star plus Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre.

The new 408-room hotel, designed by renowned Dutch architect Claus en Kaan, is situated on the water’s edge in a prime location of the Oostelijke Handelskade district, between the new Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and the Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis concert hall. The main railway station (Centraal Station), Dam Square, the Royal Palace and the old city centre of Amsterdam with its many sights are all only a few minutes’ walk away. Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is only 15 km away.

The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, which is entirely non-smoking, offers 362 Standard and 14 Executive Rooms as well as 31 Junior Suites and an Ambassador Suite, all on 20 floors. All rooms offer free public wireless LAN, air conditioning and spectacular views of the harbour or the city. Guests of the Executive Categories also benefit from the amenities of the Executive Lounge. All rooms have pull-out bed sofas, ideal for families. For guests arriving by car there is a convenient underground car park, which also has 20 spaces specially reserved for coaches.

More than 900 sqm of state-of-the-art, modular conference facilities with natural daylight are available to accommodate up to 600 participants, and feature free wireless LAN in all public areas as well as a business centre. The adjacent Passenger Terminal with more than 3,000 sqm can also be used for events of all kinds.

Trademark Mövenpick culinary excellence is served in the main restaurant with its spacious terrace and in the bar. Guests can also relax in the Health Centre with fitness room, sauna, solarium, sanarium and ice fountain.
