Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific to manage Radisson Resort & Spa Alibaug in Maharashtra

Radisson Hotels & Resorts, in conjunction with M/. Sahil Spa & Resorts, is to develop a new hotel in Alibaug, Maharashtra – the Radisson Resort & Spa Alibaug.

The hotel will be managed by Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific, regional division of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, one of the world’s leading hotel companies and parent company for Radisson Hotels & Resorts.

M/s. Sahil Spa & Resorts is a division of Sahil Resort, Agrifields & Farms Private Limited, which has been involved in real estate development for 15 years and has built more than 450 commercial and residential buildings in Pune and Mumbai.

Radisson Resort & Spa Alibaug will be situated on 22 prime waterfront acres of land along the banks of Veshvi Lake at Gondhalpada, just 1.5 kilometres from Alibaug. The hotel is expected to be opened by the end of 2006, with 150 guest rooms, suites, villas and Ayurvedic pavilions.

Other facilities will include a swimming pool, health club with gymnasium, two restaurants and a bar, a specialty Ayurvedic spa (offering among others, aromatherapy, ayurvedic massage and panchakarma), an open-air theatre, and extensive conference facilities.

Mr. Vinay Phadnis, Chairman & Managing Director, Sahil Resorts & Spa, said, “The spa will be the main attraction at the deluxe Alibaug resort, with special features including the Hydromatic bath tub, a much more advanced version of the Jacuzzi with stream jets designed to rejuvenate and completely relax the body, along with the latest Ayurvedic treatments, massages and aromatherapy.”
