Travel News Asia Monday, 30 October 2006

After two successful and award winning years, Six Senses Spas and Jumeriah have agreed to pursue individual initiatives within the spa industry.

“Six Senses Spas have a strong development programme with new locations stretching from the Pacific to the Caribbean, Middle East and Europe,” said Bernhard Bohnenberger, Six Senses’ Managing Director, “so with both of our groups in similar mode, we made the decision to move forward independently.”

Six Senses upcoming development plans include the opening of the Six Senses Spa at Sharq Village & Spa in Doha towards the end of this year, at Ma’in Hot Springs in Jordan, and at the Evason Hideaway at Zighy Bay, Oman. Further developments are underway in Thailand, Vietnam, Fiji and Portugal.

Recent openings of Six Senses Spas were in Greece, where the dramatic spa serves the three luxury Porto Elounda Resorts on Crete; at Puntacana Resort & Club in the Dominican Republic; Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay in Bodrum, Turkey; and aboard the luxurious m/y Christina O.
