AirAsia to launch Flights between KL and Hanoi from just RM49.99

AirAsia is set to launch flights between Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Hanoi in Vietnam, beginning 4th October 2006.

To celebrate the airline is offering a special promotional fare for this new service of just RM49.99 / US$15 one way for travel between 4th October 2006 to 24th March 2007. The booking period to enjoy this special fare is open only for four (4) days from 27th to 30th August 2006.

Above quoted fares are excluding airport taxes, fuel surcharges and fees, and are applicable for one-way travel only.

Kathleen Tan, Executive Vice President – Commercial, said, “It has always been our vision to fly to Vietnam, particularly Hanoi which is a quaint, romantic city with warm, friendly locals and delectable Vietnamese cuisine. We are thrilled to add Hanoi to our growing flight network in ASEAN and we’d like to express our appreciation to our Government for supporting our commitment to serve every city in the region and to the Government of Vietnam for welcoming us into their country. And with AirAsia working closely with Tourism Malaysia in support of Visit Malaysia Year 2007, we are optimistic in boosting tourism economy and drive inbound passenger traffic for both countries.”

Flights depart Kuala Lumpur at 17:05 arriving in Hanoi at 19:30. The return leg leaves Hanoi at 20:00 for a 00:25 arrival in Kuala Lumpur.
