m.a.x. concepts to Bring Lawry’s The Prime Rib to Hong Kong

Travel News Asia Friday, 25 August 2006

m.a.x. concepts, the contemporary restaurant division of Maxim's Group is bringing Lawry’s The Prime Rib, the renowned American fine dining restaurant, to Hong Kong. Lawry’s is scheduled to open on 18th September at The Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay.

Lawry’s is a dining experience with a strong sense of tradition and heritage. It was established by the Frank family in 1938 and is now run by the third generation. Lawry’s is recognized for its trademark elegance, delicious food, warm hospitality, good value and most of all for its prime ribs of beef.

Seating 240, the focus of Lawry’s Hong Kong will be on classic beef dishes, with signature menu items including roasted prime ribs of beef. Signature accompaniments include classic Yorkshire Pudding and the Original Spinning Bowl Salad, spun on a bed of crushed ice, and tossed with the exclusive Lawry’s Vintage Sherry Dressing. Guests will also be able to choose from additional a la carte items.

Lawry’s key point of difference is in its preparation and presentation; its serving style includes table-side service, bringing an aspect of fanfare and theatre to the dining experience. The standing rib roasts are hand-carved to order and served tableside from Lawry’s rolling silver carts.

The wine list features over 120 selections of champagne, red and white wines from many of the key wine regions in the world. Fine Cuban cigars will also be offered.
