Langkawi Village Resort rebranded as Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa

Frangipani Hotel & Resort Sdn. Bhd. has recently taken over the ownership and management of the former Langkawi Village Resort , rebranding the resort as the Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa.

Renovations to the resort, located along 400 metres of uninterrupted beachfront at Pantai Tengah, has already begun on the 101 guestrooms as the initial stage of the total refurbishment programme for the entire property. Construction of an additional 24 sea-facing guestrooms are planned to be completed by the end of 2006. The work will be done in phases in order to minimise inconvenience to the in-house guests.

Resort General Manager, Mr. Abdul Razak Abdul Kadir said, “We have some very exciting plans for the property and once the renovations are completed it will become a deluxe property. We are very fortunate in having arguably Langkawi’s best beachfront and by the time we finish the renovations the guestrooms will be equal to many of the island’s five-star properties.”

Upon completion, the new resort will include a branded and luxurious spa complete with gymnasium, a beach bistro and bar, a signature boutique, a freshwater swimming pool and a new saltwater pool.

When completed the resort’s deluxe rooms room categories will be 53m2 while the suites will be 65m2 and all deluxe rooms feature an outdoor shower area and 22 rooms will be fitted with outdoor jacuzzis.
