Viva Macau and cargo counts sign Total Cargo Management contract

Viva Macau, a new low cost Macau-based airline, has signed a cargo co-operation contract with cargo counts for the airline’s cargo business. cargo counts will be responsible for Viva Macau’s Total Cargo Management, handling cargo-related services including sales, marketing, freight handling, accounting, IT and controlling, as well as flight data, yield and capacity management.

cargo counts offers a comprehensive cargo management service for several airlines that wish to develop a professional cargo business alongside their passenger operations. cargo counts’ clientele includes a variety of international and regional airlines.

Viva Macau will start operations this year flying to a range of regional and international destinations. The cargo business, which accounts for a substantial part of the airline’s revenue mix, will help Macau to position itself as an important air freight hub for the Pearl River Delta region.

Andrew Pyne, Chief Executive of Viva Macau, said, “Cargo is an important element of our business - accounting for over 20% of projected revenues - and with the expertise of cargo counts, we are very confident that we can boost Macau's positioning as a major air cargo hub for the Pearl River Delta region.”
