InterContinental Hotels
Group has appointed Walid Kanaan as general manager of the Holiday Inn Kuwait.
With 15 years experience in the hotel industry, a degree in hotel management and tourism from Switzerland and a diploma in Hotel Management,
Kanaan steps into his challenging new role following his previous appointment as resident manager at
the InterContinental Doha.
Kanaan will oversee all the operations of the 135-room Holiday Inn Kuwait, which is located 200 metres from the seafront and 22km from Kuwait
International Airport, and is the perfect base for business or leisure
travellers.
Prior to his time at InterContinental Doha, Kanaan was
executive assistant manager at the Intercontinental Phoenicia, Beirut and was
later promoted to the role of operations manager, responsible for the pre-opening phase of the InterContinental Residence Suites of the hotel.
