Nok Air to increase fuel surcharge

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 19 April 2006

Low cost Thai airline, Nok Air, is to increase its fuel surcharge. The fee is to be increased from THB 200 (excluding VAT) per ticket, to THB 300 (excluding VAT) per ticket effective 1 May 2006.

“Having reduced our fuel surcharge in January, we recently have seen fuel prices returning to higher levels, and therefore, reflecting this unavoidable market situation we recognize that we have to increase our fuel surcharge”, said Patee Sarasin, CEO of Nok Air. “We will continue to monitor the fuel cost situation and make adjustments that reflect the market.”
