The Luxury Collection to Debut in Koh Samui, Thailand

Starwood has signed a contract  to manage its first Luxury Collection property on Koh Samui island, Thailand, the Vana Belle Samui Resort & Spa, A Luxury Collection hotel. This resort is expected to open in 2011.

Scheduled to open in 2011, the resort is expected to feature 180 rooms, including 30 stand-alone villas, 4 restaurants, meeting facilities, a spa and fitness center, business center and swimming pool. With its legendary beauty, unrivaled views of the Gulf of Siam from its 250 meters beachfront location, gourmet restaurants and unique modern luxuries throughout, Vana Belle Samui Resort & Spa will be a stellar addition to The Luxury Collection, famed for its collection of magical hotels like the Gritti Palace in Venice and The Phoenician in Scottsdale, USA

The idyllic island of Koh Samui is located in the Gulf of Thailand, 700 kilometers south of Bangkok, and is the third largest Thai island (Phuket and Koh Chang are the other two larger islands). Koh Samui is known to offer some of the best diving sites in Thailand, and is at the same time unique among Thailand's islands in maintaining a broad appeal to everyone.

Vana Belle Samui Resort & Spa will be located in Chaweng Noi, near to Chaweng.
