Abacus
has appointed Mr Looi Tein Po as the new General Manager of Abacus Travel Systems Pte Ltd - the Singapore National Marketing
Company of Abacus International.
Mr Looi is a veteran in the aviation industry, and comes to the position at Abacus with over 18 years of experience of working in various divisions at
Singapore Airlines (SIA).
Don Birch, CEO & President of Abacus International said, “Tein Po’s wealth of experience in the corporate travel and strategy and planning side of
SIA will provide an additional boost to the Abacus Singapore business. I am confident that Tein Po will continue the great work previously done by
Mr Yip in helping the local industry adapt and grow.”
In his new capacity as General Manager, Mr Looi is responsible for the overall management and business development of Abacus Travel Systems.
As part of that responsibility, Mr Looi will continue to drive new business strategies that will focus strongly on the needs of Abacus’
Singapore-based customers.
Mr Looi will replace Mr Andrew Yip Hon Mun, who is taking up the position of Area Manager, Victoria and Tasmania, Singapore Airlines.
