Major industry support for Asian Aerospace International Expo & Congress 2007

One of the world’s leading aerospace companies and major national aerospace industry associations are among a number of exhibitors who have now confirmed their participation at the Asian Aerospace International Expo & Congress 2007.

Boeing, German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI), and the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) will all participate in the event. The Romanian government has also confirmed its support for Asian Aerospace following its first appearance at an event outside Europe when it took part at Asian Aerospace 2006, a relationship that will continue as its expanding aerospace manufacturing industry eyes increased international opportunities.

Other companies which have already confirmed their continued support for Asian Aerospace by signing up for the event next year include AAXICO, Aviall, Alcoa, Argosy, AMECO Beijing, Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Co Ltd, Lufthansa Technik, and Heico Corporation, with other major exhibitors expected to finalise their space requirements for participation after meetings with the event organisers during the Farnborough week.

The next presentation of Reed Exhibitions’ flagship international aerospace industry event will be held from September 3-6, 2007 at the brand new ultra-modern 70,000 square metre AsiaWorld-Expo complex, which is adjacent to and integrated with the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), and will have a dedicated business to business (B2B) focus covering the entire commercial aerospace sector for the strategic Asia Pacific region.

A high-level Congress will form the centrepiece of the event, bringing together major players from across aerospace and aviation to discuss the exciting opportunities the region’s fast-growing market will deliver. Organised in partnership with Flight International, the world’s longest established name in aviation media, the Congress will cover key issues ranging from the growing fleet and maintenance, through to investment in training and infrastructure."

The organisers of Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia, have already agreed to work with Reed Exhibitions in a joint initiative, by placing their event alongside Asian Aerospace in 2007.

Major support for Asian Aerospace has been pledged by an array of public and private sector organisations in Hong Kong, including the Civil Aviation Department, Invest Hong Kong, Airport Authority of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Aerospace Forum, and Cathay Pacific Airways, whose recent acquisition of Dragonair’s mainland service network, and closer equity and operational ties with Beijing-based flag carrier, Air China, heralds a new era of growth opportunities in this rapidly expanding airline market.
