Spa. Henry started his career with Marriott International as a Guest Service Supervisor in 1994 in Worcester Marriott, Worcester, Massachusetts. Prior to his current
appointment, he was Revenue Manager at Athenacum Intercontinental Athens, Greece.

In
another move, Volkert Geertsen has been appointed as Director of Sales for JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa and Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa. Volkert comes from the Netherlands. He has been
in the hotel industry for almost ten years including working for Crown Plaza Grand Rapids in Detroit, Michigan as a management trainee. Prior to moving to Thailand,
Volkert was the Acting Director of Sales & Marketing for the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel where worked in a number of positions there since joining them in 1999.
In his new position, Volkert will be responsible for the management of Sales for both JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa and Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa, the
Marriott’s new property in Koh Samui. Volkert speaks English, German, and Dutch.
