Australian Travel Companies launch Tahiti Promotions

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 12 July 2006

Air Tahiti Nui, the international airline of Tahiti and Her Islands, has joined with a group of leading Australian travel companies to launch an extensive new range of honeymoon and romantic holiday options.

Australian couples can choose Tahiti holiday packages designed to meet all tastes and budgets, for departures up to March, 2007.

“Tahiti is recognised worldwide as the destination for honeymoons and romantic holidays – particularly following recent visits by celebrities including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban,” said Craig Lee, Regional Director Australia for Air Tahiti Nui.

“Since we launched twice-weekly nonstop flights from Sydney to Papeete one year ago, Tahiti has become easily accessible from Australia, and there has been strong growth in the number of honeymoon and romantic holiday bookings,” said Mr Lee.

“Now, following the recent introduction of our third weekly service, we also have the opportunity to offer shortbreak holidays to and within Tahiti and Her Islands,” he added. “This is an increasingly popular option for couples.”

The timing of the new romantic and honey moon packages coincides with the first anniversary of the airline’s services from Sydney to Papeete, and this week’s Australian Tahiti Tourisme Roadshow, led by Tahiti Tourisme.
