Silversea Cruises signs Deal for World Cup Cricket 2007

Luxury cruise line Silversea has reached agreement with one of India's leading tour operators, The Geographical Company to have exclusive use of the 6 star rated, 296 passenger, Silver Wind to coincide with a series of cricket matches during the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean.

Geographical and Silversea have put together a special itinerary for the ardent cricket supporter that offers the opportunity of watching world class cricket matches based on one of the worlds most luxurious and exclusive ships.

The charter covers an 11 day sailing departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico on April 9th and the ship will be strategically positioned to coincide with matches played by India, Pakistan and England.

The full itinerary is as follows: 

9th April Depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico 
10th April Day at sea 
11th April Bridgetown, Barbados for the India v England match 
12th April Fort de France, Martinique 
13th April Bridgetown, Barbados for the Pakistan v Australia match 
14th April Castries, St Lucia 
15th April Bridgetown, Barbados for the India v Pakistan match 
16th April Bequia, Grenadines 
17th April Day at sea 
18th April St Georges, Grenada for the Pakistan v Sri Lanka match 
19th April Bridgetown, Barbados for the India v West Indies match 
20th April Disembark

For golf enthusiasts there will also be the opportunity to play on some of the most exotic courses in the Caribbean or to take one of the many preplanned shore excursions. All inclusive cruise only fares for the 11 day voyage start at US$7,500 per person which represents a saving of US$1,000 on the published fare.
