Jeffrey James and Lina Sugiarto join The Mayflower, Jakarta - Marriott Executive Apartments

Jeffrey James has been appointed Hotel Manager and Lina Sugiarto, Director of Sales of The Mayflower, Jakarta – Marriott Executive Apartments.

Jeffrey is a graduate of the National Hotel Institute in Bandung, Indonesia, where he specialized in Rooms division management. His first position in the industry was in 1991 when he joined the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta as a receptionist. After successive promotions he joined the Shangri-La Jakarta in 1993 as Duty Manager. Again he was promoted rapidly; firstly to Chief Concierge and then to Front Office manager in 1997.

In 2001, Jeffrey joined the Marriott family at the JW Marriott Jakarta, where he was Front Office manager in the opening team. He was promoted to Director of Rooms in 2002 and has been very instrumental in driving the high levels of guest satisfaction at that hotel.

Lina is a graduate of the International Hotel Management Institute, Lucerne - Switzerland, where she was awarded as Best Service and Overall Student who achieved highest average grade in both academic and professional attitude. Her first position in the industry was in 1998 when she joined Raddin Ancol Hotel, Jakarta as a front office agent and sales executive. In 1999, she flew to Malaysia and joined The Regent Hotel as a front desk assistance. After almost then one year, she returned to Indonesia and joined Ascott International Management Indonesia in 2000. She was promoted rapidly within the Sales & Marketing Department during her four year tenure in this company; started as Sales Executive and then finally to Director of Sales in 2005.

Jeffrey and Lina will help open the latest edition to the Marriott Executive Apartment brand, located in Jakarta’s central business district. The opening is planned for January 2007.
