Brunei's Empire Hotel & Country Club launches Exclusive Club-Style Concept for Villa Guests

Travel News Asia 10 March 2006

Brunei’s Empire Hotel & Country Club has launched an exclusive new club-style concept for guests staying at its private villas.

A private 'resort-within-a-resort' has been created for villa guests – with their own Villa Reception, lounge and garden terrace, meeting room and range of new personalised services.

Check-in and check-out complete with welcoming ‘mocktails’ is available in the Villa Reception.

The exclusive service also includes a packing and unpacking service and buggies shuttling guests around the tropical garden resort, which at 445 acres is one of the largest in the world.

An extensive DVD and music library is also available to guests at no extra charge, while the reception villa also features its own business centre and offers wireless broadband Internet links.

“The welcoming and concierge concept is similar to club-style business floors for executives in hotels – except we are extending it to our private villas,” said The Empire Hotel & Country Club’s General Manager, Ms Anne Busfield.

“The Villa Reception introduces a more exclusive, personalised and private experience for our villa guests. For example we find that when welcoming celebrities or high profile guests they often prefer the discreet privacy that our villas provide for their visit.”

The Empire Hotel & Country features 16 superbly appointed two-storey, self -contained private villas set in lush tropical gardens overlooking the resort’s sensational 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed championship golf course.

The interior design of the villas draws inspiration from the rainforests of Borneo, with vibrant, colourful fabrics with exotic motifs and design details throughout. Twelve two bedroom Garden Villas, three three-bedroom Ocean Villas, share a separate swimming pool and private beach while the Royal Villa provides guests with a pool of their own and concealed outdoor area overlooking the sensational golf course for their exclusive use.
