More QantasLink services from Canberra to Sydney and Melbourne

QantasLink is to operate an additional five return services between Melbourne and Canberra and between Sydney and Canberra, bringing the total number of Qantas services operated on the routes each week to 77 and 152 respectively.

Qantas Executive General Manager Regional Airlines, Narendra Kumar said that QantasLink would continue to ensure that ample capacity was available to Canberra at key times of the day.

"QantasLink will operate the five additional Dash-8 weekday return services between Sydney and Canberra from 9 May. These new services provide late afternoon departure times; giving customers increased flexibility with their travel plans.

"Also from 9 May, QantasLink will operate five additional Dash-8 weekday return services between Melbourne and Canberra. These new services have been timed for the convenience of the corporate traveller with a mid afternoon departure time from Melbourne," he said.

QantasLink began an additional service between Canberra and Melbourne on Sunday 1 May. The new service operates on Sunday evenings, providing business travellers with the option of arriving in the nation's capital late in the evening ahead of a full day's work.
