Amari Coral Beach Resort in Phuket to re-open in July

Travel News Asia 9 March 2005

The Amari Coral Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand, is to re-open on the 1st July, 2005, slightly earlier than previously planned.

During the 6 months that the hotel has been closed, Amari has carried out extensive repairs to areas of the hotel damaged by the tsunami. This includes the complete rebuilding and redesign of the La Gritta Italian Restaurant.

In addition, every guest room in the resort - superior, deluxe and suites - have all been refitted. All superior rooms have wooden floors, new fabrics, new de้cor and new furniture as well as renovated bathrooms. The deluxe rooms and suites also have a new design.

In the back of house area, Amari installed a new main kitchen, and a new laundry.

The lobby bar and lounge also now has a new look, and the pool area near La Gritta was retiled.
