Regent Opens its First Luxury Hotel in China - The Regent Shanghai

Regent International Hotels has opened its first luxury hotel in China - The Regent Shanghai.

The 511-room hotel is owned by Summit Property Development Co. and managed by Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific. Norman Rafelson, General Manager of The Regent Shanghai, said, “As a major regional gateway city and the economic capital of China, Shanghai is a strategic global location for the Regent hotel brand. We are very privileged to be working with Summit Property Development Co. for the opening of our first Regent hotel in China.”

“This hotel will be a flagship for the company in the region and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests with our strong personalized service and ultimate luxury amenities that are synonymous with the Regent brand,” Mr Rafelson added.

Rising over Yan An West Road with stunning views, this 53-storey hotel is within easy access to Hongqiao Airport and Pudong International Airport, and only minutes away from the central business and shopping districts of Shanghai.

The Regent Shanghai is designed by world-renowned architects and interior designers. The contemporary yet classic hotel features luxurious rooms and suites, functional work areas, large plasma TV screens and spacious bathrooms with oversized designer baths. All guest rooms have stunning views over the city’s striking skyline. The hotel also has one of the largest single ballrooms in the Puxi side of Shanghai.

The hotel hosts a wide array of exquisite cuisines, the signature restaurant Shanghai V offers a fantastic range of some of Asia’s most exciting cuisines. O2on2 all-day-dining restaurant offers the choice of a buffet and a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
