Spa at The Bale launches Green Tea Treatments

Travel News Asia 8 September 2005

The Bale, a Sanctuary Resort and member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is launching a 'Zen Ritual' in its Sanctuary Spa & Wellness Center.

Utilizing the nurturing qualities of Green Tea, this ritual aims to calm every aspect of one being with Zen like tranquility; soothing the body and putting ones mind at ease. The Zen Ritual is designed to relieve stress and pressures of modern life while improving ones physical appearance.

The 120 minutes of attention begins with a hot stone massage to relax the muscles and increase blood circulation. A unique blend of green tea massage oil is utilized to stimulate soothing muscle relaxation through deep heat penetration in conjunction with the hot stones.

The powerful antioxidant character within green tea helps protect skin from damaging environmental factors including sun exposure, air pollutants, and dehydration that potentially could lead to permanent skin damage. The properties of green tea are most effective with:

- Green tea body mask, purifying your skin and leaving it feeling fresh, clean and nourished.

- Warm green tea bath, rejuvenate your body while opening your pores to stimulate a luminous complexion. A cup of Green Tea will be served for internal enhancement.

- Green tea and honey moisturizing cream, repairing damaged skin, softening and purifying.

Green Tea is an effective ingredient for body, skin and hair care, owing to its soothing properties along with antioxidant benefits. In skin care products, Green tea is respected for halting premature aging and wrinkles by repairing and protecting skin from daily environmental aggression; relieving stress and tension; refreshing and renewing the overworked body and mind; and replenishing essential skincare nutrients.

Green tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water. It has been used as a potent source of antioxidants, which reduce the level of radical causing cell damage; the origin of many conditions including breast cancer and prostate cancer. The antioxidants have been linked to weight loss, diet, cholesterol reduction, and a reduced risk of stroke, heart diseases and cancers.
