Marco Polo Shenzhen signs deal with Mandara Spa

The Marco Polo Shenzhen has signed an agreement with Mandara Spa Ventures of Thailand for the management and operations of a professional and modern spa facility at the five star hotel.

The new spa at The Marco Polo Shenzhen will be Mandara Spa Ventures third spa in China and its 42nd in Asia. The 391 rooms Marco Polo hotel in Shenzhen is scheduled to open in June 2006.

Located on the fourth level of the hotel, the spa will comprise a VIP double spa suite with Jacuzzi facilities, two double spa suites and eight single treatment rooms. In addition to the warmly decorated reception and waiting lounge, guests will be able to relax in the private rooms of the Beauty Salon where full service beauty treatments will be available. Features of the VIP suites will include oversized terrazzo Jacuzzi and day beds with spacious private changing areas. All guests of the Mandara Spa will have access to the spacious outdoor swimming pool including sauna and steam room.

The spa menu of Mandara Spa at The Marco Polo Shenzhen will offer a wide range of spa treatments, instilled with the beauty and allure of ancient traditions and the sophistication of modern spa techniques. The treatments are flavored with various cultures including Indonesia, Thailand and China with ancient rituals in health and beauty to meet the expectations of the most discerning guests and spa goers.

 Designed by Wilson & Associates in Singapore, one of Asias most prestigious interior design companies, the 1,000 square meter spa will incorporate traditional stone, wood and ceramic decorative pieces with cushion fabric covers in soft tones.

The name Mandara comes from an ancient Sanskrit legend about the gods' quest to find the elixir of immortality and eternal youth.

The 391 rooms five star Marco Polo Shenzhen is scheduled to open in June 2006 and is the first Marco Polo property in Shenzhen. The hotel is situated in Fu Tian, the heart of the new Central Business District of Shenzhen, overlooking the new Shenzhen Convention Center and opposite the prestigious Shenzhen Golf Club.
