International Air Charter, one of the world's largest independent aircraft charter brokers, is celebrating three successful years of operations in Dubai.
The aircraft charter broker, who specialises in the provision of executive and VIP aircraft, has achieved remarkable growth since it began operations in 2002, posting a
record 30 per cent increase in revenue for the year ended 31st December, 2004.
Hugh Courtenay, Chief Executive of International Air Charter plc stated, "The air charter industry in the Middle East has witnessed exceptional growth over the past
couple of years. New operators in the market have fuelled awareness, and subsequently demand, for charter air services. International Air Charter has benefited from
this upswing by posting an average 21 per cent revenue growth for the past three years.
International Air Charter has seen the most substantial growth among corporate travellers, particularly for short-leg destinations, such as intra-GCC sector. "Busy
business executives need to travel quickly from one location to another without the inconvenience of waiting for connecting flights or danger of delays. Aircraft charter
offers the distinct advantages of privacy and unbeatable flexibility, allowing travellers to move at their own pace. Corporates have learned to value this convenience
against the premium one might pay for charter air travel. In fact, with increased usage, cost of air charter services will eventually even out, as it has in the Western world,"
continued Courtenay.

Brokers, as independents with access to a large network of aircraft can source competitive rates. International Air Charter is able to offer clients extremely cost-effective
and quick solutions by sourcing an aircraft closest to their location, from its large database of operators. This helps clients save time as well as the additional expense
incurred by the positioning of an empty aircraft.
The Middle East's burgeoning economy has, also in part contributed to the upswing in usage of charter air services. According to a recent report, Dubai alone had 252
charter flights in the first week of January. This is helped further by the new business projects and promotions being announced in the emirate and surrounding areas to
stimulate commercial growth and tourist traffic. For example, during the current Dubai Shopping Festival season charter flights rose by 42 per cent.
