David Simpson has been appointed Director of Acquisitions and Development, Pacific region, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific Division. In this role, David is
responsible for overseeing acquisitions and development in the Pacific region.
“David has demonstrated excellent leadership as Chief of Finance for Starwood hotels in the Pacific and Indonesia regions over the past 6 years. His exceptional
strengths in financial analysis, and business acumen, as well as his extensive experience with major business stakeholders in the region make him an excellent choice
to lead Starwood’s increasingly aggressive growth plans in the Pacific region,” said Tom Monahan, Senior Vice President, Acquisitions & Development, Asia Pacific,
Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Overall, David has 25 years experience in the hotel industry and has been employed by Starwood since 1997. He has a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management from
Victoria University and is a member of the Australian Society of CPA’s.
