Domina Hotels & Resorts appoints Three New Corporate Officers

Domina Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has appointed three new corporate officers: Walter Lalli, vice president director of technical services, design, projects, safety and security; Claudio Cecchini, vice president director of human resources; Olivia Durazzo, corporate director of brand, communication and PR.

In his new position Walter Lalli will have primary responsibility for supervising the integration of the brand technical and engineering standards, coordinating the design, projects and construction activities and for the application and implementation of security and safety standards. He will report directly to Francesco Borrello, chief executive officer of Domina Hotels.

A 30 years hotel veteran Lalli comes to Domina Hotels from International Hospitality Management where he served as development and technical director. Prior to his tenure with I.H.M. Lalli spent more than 25 years with Ciga Hotels, ITT Sheraton and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“Lalli's strong experience and technical skills will be a tremendous plus to Domina Hotels going forward” said Mr. Borrello.

Mr Lalli who joined the group the 1st of March 2005, is based at the Domina corporate office in Milan.

Claudio Cecchini, as vice president director of human resources, will have leadership responsibility for worldwide human resources of Domina Hotels overseeing organisation design, management development, staffing, compensation and benefits, labour and employee relations, training and executive recruitment. He will report to Francesco Borrello, chief executive officer of Domina Hotels.

Mr. Cecchini joins Domina Hotels after 25 years career as director of human resources with Ciga Hotels, ITT Sheraton and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Being lately in charge of Six Sigma for Starwood in Italy.

“The head of human resources is a very important position in our global service organisation as we continue to define our corporate culture” commented Mr Borrello “One of our key objective is to make Domina Hotels & Resorts one of the best place to work in the world”. 

Mr Cecchini will be based at the Domina corporate office in Milan. 

Olivia Durazzo, as corporate director of brand, communication and PR, will develop and implement a worldwide public relations programme for Domina Hotels and its future 250 hotels.

“To achieve 250 hotels in only 10 years is going to demand high visibility” said Mr Borrello “Olivia’s past experience will serve the group well. Her understanding of communicating at a right time with a wide variety of audience will be very important to achieve our company objectives.”

Mrs Durazzo joined Domina Hotels in 2003 as product manager and was promoted to brand and advertising manager in 2004. Prior to joining Domina, she was responsible for the marketing and communication for two Relais & Chateaux hotels based in Italy.

Founded in 2000, Domina Hotels & Resorts has 39 operating hotels based in 14 different locations over 3 continents. The hotel chain, which already has 4.590 available rooms, intends to continue its worldwide expansion and reach 250 hotels by the end of 2015. Domina Hotels & Resorts is part of the group Domina Vacanze, owned by Ernesto Preatoni, which also controls six tour operators in Europe.
