Carlson Hotels Worldwide appoints Fredrik Korallus as Executive Vice President of Revenue Generation

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Fredrik Korallus as Executive Vice President of Revenue Generation, a new position leading the areas of sales, marketing, distribution and public relations/communications.

Yvonne La Penotiere, president of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, the Americas, said this new position will play a key role in creating and expanding revenues for the company’s five hotel brands. “In addition to a strong background in sales and marketing, Korallus also brings broad global experience to our organization having served in leadership positions in our brands in Asia, Europe and the United States,” she added.

Korallus will be responsible for developing and leading a well-integrated, go-to-market strategy for the marketing, sales, distribution and public relations functions. The brands of Carlson Hotels Worldwide include Regent International Hotels, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Park Inn.

Most recently Korallus served as a Senior Vice President for Future Openings and Franchise Operations at Rezidor SAS Hospitality, Carlson’s largest partner in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In prior positions within Rezidor, he served as Senior Vice President and COO of Park Inn hotels, leading a period of aggressive expansion of this brand in the EMEA. He also served in the role of Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Rezidor. Carlson has a 25% ownership of Rezidor.

Korallus also served in various executive sales and marketing positions with Radisson Hotel operations in Asia, the United Kingdom and Washington D.C. In other experience, he successfully engineered a management buy-in and turnaround of the Hotel and Catering Training Company (HCTC), one of the UK’s largest training providers serving the hospitality and leisure industries.

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, Korallus has a degree in hotel catering and institutional management from Thames University in London.
