Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts has
appointed Mr. Michael Tam as Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms for Le Méridien She Shan Shanghai in March
2005. Michael’s key focus is on strategic growth and pre-opening activities for Le Méridien She Shan Shanghai. He will also be responsible for the recruitment and
opening activities for Le Royal Méridien Shanghai scheduled to open the second quarter of 2006.
Michael, a Hong Kong national, began his hospitality career in 1994 as a management trainee and progressed to various management positions with an international
chain hotel in Hong Kong. He also has experience in opening hotels in Hong Kong and Beijing.
In 2002, Michael joined Le Méridien Cyberport, Hong Kong as pre-opening Project Manager, and subsequently became the hotel’s Human Resource Manager.
With more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Michael has a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Oxford Brookes University in the UK. He
brings with extensive experience in hotel management.
