Further to the recent announcement from Bavaria Hotels International of a Strategic Global Alliance with Siemens to provide total hospitality solutions throughout the German hospitality chain’s growing network, details of the systems and the benefits for both guests and owners were announced at the Siemens Hospitality Summit held in Dubai 5th December 2005.

Bavaria Executive Suites Dubai will be the first hotel in the region to implement Total Hospitality Solutions from Siemens.

Siemens technology offers a fully integrated, co-coordinated and networked

• Hotel Room Management
• Building Management
• Property Management and
• Point of Sale solution
• Integrated Security System

successfully integrating systems from reservations to guest rooms, security and total comfort to the latest in technological advances throughout the entire hotel.

Siemens is an active participant in all phases of the project, from technology design and planning to implementation and maintenance of the end product.

Participating as an External Speaker at the Siemens Hospitality Innovation Summit, CEO Bavaria Hotels International, Mr Thomas Gertz, said, “Siemens technology enables us to offer superior guests services, efficiently managed by the appropriate technology in a cost effective way throughout our hotels, regardless of location.

Technology no longer offers a competitive edge in the hospitality industry, and is more of an expectation than a benefit for well traveled business and leisure guests. However, effective and fully interfaced technology allows hospitality providers to ensure superior, efficient and timely service, which is still the most reliable way to turn a one-off guest into a regular customer.”

Implementation of Siemens HiPath Hospitality Services enhances real time communication systems and seamless customer relationship management (CRM) by automated tracking, recording and intelligent reporting on every service or activity used by guests. Thus releasing employees from repetitive administrative tasks, enhancing staff mobility, efficiency and enabling the focus to be directed towards superior guest service.

Guests also benefit from high-speed and wireless internet connectivity throughout, interactive TV and in-room entertainment features such as video-on-demand, internet surfing and normal TV reception, efficient and convenient environment controls, plus enhanced guest room security features.

Successful hotel management is a fine balance between guest satisfaction and profitability. The Siemens Total Hospitality Solution Building Management module enhances cost savings with SMART features for energy control and thermal comfort, automatically switching to economy mode when the room is empty, thus reducing operating costs and lowering environmental impact.
