The
Grand Hyatt Dubai has been appointed as the official hosted buyer hotel for
the Arabian Travel Market 2005 (ATM) which runs at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 3-6.
The
Grand Hyatt Dubai, which boasts 674 guest rooms and suites, will host 70 top regional and international travel industry buyers, including contractors from the lucrative
meetings, incentive, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
“This property is ideal for our well established hosted buyer programme being as it is in a city centre setting, close to the Dubai World Trade Centre, and with extensive
convention facilities which can be showcased to the MICE contingent,” said Vicky Crane, Marketing Manager, Overseas Events Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which
organises ATM.
The ATM hosted buyer programme allows exhibitors to meet the industry contractors in one-to-one appointment sessions.

The hosted buyers will this year be welcomed to the largest ATM ever, with exhibition floor space being increased 20% on last year to 14,200 square
metres.
“The exhibition is now 94 per cent sold out,” added Crane. “The Middle East is experiencing growth across the travel and tourism industry with new airlines being
launched and existing carriers opening up new routes. Also, the extensive development of new tourism and leisure projects and destinations are underway and we
expect that to be reflected in the size of ATM 2005.”
To date, 194 main standholders from 45 countries have signed up for
the ATM 2005.
Crane
added, “On the international front, Brazil is returning to the show after a three year absence and we’re going to see Finland exhibiting for the first time,
represented officially by the Finnish Tourist Board.”
