Mandarin Oriental to launch First Signature Treatment at its Spas Worldwide

Travel News Asia 31 August 2005

Beginning in October, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is introducing an exclusive new spa treatment, Oriental Harmony, at all of its 14 luxury hotel spas worldwide. This two-hour ritual will be the first treatment launched using Mandarin Oriental signature spa products, developed by the hotel group and introduced in February 2005.

Mandarin Oriental's Signature Spa Products

“Mandarin Oriental spas are dedicated to providing guests with unparalleled spa experiences that are focused on wellness and inspired by our oriental origins,” said Ingo Schweder, Group Director of Spa. “The Oriental Harmony treatment has been carefully designed to express the therapeutic benefits of our spa products and to reflect Mandarin Oriental’s unique spa philosophy.”

The Oriental Harmony treatment will be conducted by two therapists for an experience that inspires a harmony of the senses. The treatment begins with a soothing ritual foot bath in purifying waters. This is followed by a warm scrub applied by four-hands working in unison, to smooth and replenish the skin. Both therapists then continue to work together with a synchronised massage to replenish the skin and balance the body. This four-handed massage treatment concludes with a simultaneous head and foot massage. The result is an uplifted mind, an energized body and exotically fragrant, smooth skin.

Mandarin Oriental’s signature “Oriental Body Oil,” a proprietary blend of aromatic Frangipani, Jasmine and Mandarin essential oils, will be used exclusively in the new Oriental Harmony treatment. This sensuous and exotic oil is infused with a deeply nourishing and hydrating blend of Macadamia Nut and Kukui Nut oils to help replenish the skin’s moisture and enhance overall well-being.
