Thai Airways International and China Eastern Airlines start Code-Share operations between Shanghai and Bangkok

Thai Airways International and China Eastern Airlines have started reciprocal code-share flights on the Bangkok - Shanghai sector.

“This is a reciprocally “win-win” cooperation. Through the project, Thai Airways International will have more access to enter the Chinese market while China Eastern Airlines could take the advantage of the huge network of Thai Airways International over Southeast Asia as well. To the passengers’ benefit, there will be more varieties and more diversified services. I am confident that this joint venture is only an initial phase. As time goes by, together we shall provide more products, offer better convenience to our dear passengers traveling between Southeast Asia and China.” said Mr. Jianzhong Zhang, China Eastern Airlines.

Currently, Thai Airways International serves over 73 destinations worldwide in 34 countries, spanning four continents, including Europe, Russia, the Middle East, the Indian sub-continent, Australasia, and the United States.

China Eastern Airlines now serves 67 international, regional itineraries and 274 domestic routes.
