California Governor Schwarzenegger appoints Jim Burba to the California Travel and Tourism Commission

Burba Hotel Network (BHN) president Jim Burba has been appointed to the California Travel and Tourism Commission by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 37-member California Travel & Tourism Commission is comprised of individuals from all 12 regions of the state that make the travel and tourism one of their top priorities. Members represent four principal industry sectors: Accommodations, Attractions, Restaurant & Retail, and Transportation & Travel Services.

Speaking of his appointment Burba said, “It’s an honor to have been appointed by the Governor to serve on this prestigious Commission and thus to be able to play a role in helping build a stronger travel and tourism industry in California. Travel and tourism is a vital component of our economy and I look forward to working with the Commission, the industry and with Governor Schwarzenegger to optimize California’s potential.”
