ICLP to acquire Switzerland-based Loyalty Gate

Travel News Asia 30 October 2005

ICLP, a global loyalty marketing agency, is to acquire the Switzerland-based Loyalty Gate Ltd (LGL).

LGL develops and operates frequent flyer programmes on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines, SN Brussels Airlines and TAP Air Portugal.

Already one of the world's largest loyalty marketing companies, the acquisition will grow ICLP's turnover by more than 10% and strengthen its specialist travel loyalty marketing division.

General Manager of ICLP Singapore Tim Webb said that there are obvious synergies between the strengths of ICLP and the capabilities of Loyalty Gate.

"Both companies have world-class loyalty marketing credentials and extensive international airline experience - by joining forces, we will further cement our position as the leading loyalty marketing agency."

LGL employs a team of more than 30 innovative loyalty marketing specialists, whose recent accolades include the prestigious 2005 International Freddie (Frequent Flyer) Awards 'Program of the Year'.

Eric Platteau, VP of Relationship Marketing at SN Brussels Airlines said, "ICLP are proven loyalty marketing specialists who have the resource and expertise to future-proof our award winning loyalty activities. The increasing number of Privilege members will benefit from ICLP's creativity, flexibility and best-practice airline experience and continue to enjoy the premium service and advantages that they have come to expect from their loyalty programme".

ICLP has been augmenting its global presence - expanding into Japan, Malaysia and India, as well as opening an office in San Francisco in the last 12-months, adding to its network of wholly owned offices in the US, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
