Singapore Airlines increases flights to Taipei and Australia in Winter Schedule

From 30 October 2005, Singapore Airlines is to introduce supplementary flights to Taipei, Adelaide, and Perth, to cater for anticipated strong demand for travel to and from these cities.

For the Northern Winter schedule (30 October 2005 to 25 March 2006), Singapore Airlines will mount three more flights every week to Taipei. The additional flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will raise frequencies to the city to 17 times a week.

Singapore Airlines will also be operating more flights to select cities in Australia. Perth will be served three times daily (21 flights weekly) during the peak travel period of 2 November 2005 to 27 January 2006, up from 18 times weekly now.

The number of flights to Adelaide will also increase from four to five times weekly in the winter season. The additional flight will depart Singapore on Mondays.

The supplementary flights will be operated using the Airline’s B777-200 aircraft, and increases are subject to government approval.
