New Appointments at Marco Polo Hotels

The Marco Polo Hotel Group has appointed three senior executives to its hotels in Beijing, Davao and Hong Kong.

Mr. Peter Chiu has been appointed General Manager of The Marco Polo Beijing. A Canadian citizen, Mr. Chiu has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Marco Polo, Mr. Chiu held various senior positions with international hotel chains including Pan Pacific, Sheraton and Mandarin Oriental. Mr. Chiu was previously General Manager of The Marco Polo Davao.

Mr. Stanley Lau has been promoted to General Manager of The Marco Polo Davao in the Philippines. Mr. Lau has had an extensive career with the Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong. He joined the Group in 1988 and has worked in a variety of leadership positions. 

Mr. Andy Castillejos has been appointed Manager of The Marco Polo Gateway in Hong Kong. Mr. Castillejos has worked for numerous international hotels including The Regent Hong Kong, Shangri La Kowloon and the Crown Towers, Melbourne, Australia. Mr. Castillejos joined Marco Polo Hotels in 2000. Prior to taking up his new position as Manager of The Marco Polo Gateway, Mr. Castillejos was Manager of Marketing Services and subsequently Director of Operations, Special Projects at the Marco Polo headquarters in Hong Kong.
