Galaxy Travel Distribution System recently signed a major
distribution agreement with RezKey, a privately held corporation registered in California (US). RezKey
provides an integrated online booking engine and reservation service that enables travel agencies, destination and event websites, intranets, extranets, and call centers
to dramatically increase their revenues and productivity.
Galaxy and
RezKey have entered into an agreement whereby Galaxy's Net Rate inventory of over 25,000 hotels worldwide will be made available for distribution
through RezKey’s SmartAgent Integrated Online Hotel Programs.
The RezKey SmartAgent online reservation system is
one of the travel industry's only booking engines that seamlessly integrates traditional commission GDS programs with
industry-superior high-profit Net Rate and Merchant Model programs. RezKey SmartAgent Integrated Hotel Programs are already used by a growing network of more
than 20,000 travel agents for booking of hotels of all classes worldwide.
"RezKey is very pleased to be working with Galaxy Distribution System, adding the Galaxy worldwide Net Rate inventory to the RezKey SmartAgent Integrated Online
Hotel Programs encompassing worldwide hotels", said RezKey CEO Dennis Coffey.

increased distribution."
According to Mr Myron Ticlo, Galaxy’s Regional Director of Sales – Americas, the deal with RezKey is important to Galaxy because it provides an important conduit to
access a large portion of the U.S. retail market. “The link-up with RezKey provides Galaxy with a well-known and reputable channel to introduce and expand itself in the
American market,” stated Ticlo.
Galaxy plans to complete the interface work with RezKey by
mid June 2005.
