Devarana Spa Bangkok to relocate for Renovation

Travel News Asia 27 April 2005

Devarana Spa at The Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok, the original site of the Devarana Spa chain, is to be renovated in line with the group's goal of providing the best spa experience for spa lovers. Renovation will commence on June 7th, 2005, with completion set for July 2005.

Altogether, the 1300-square meter property will be closed for 45 days, to undertake re-modelling of the long stretch reception area, create a new rest area to maximize relaxation following treatments, along with a new spa retail showcase, a new registration desk with complete spa software system for more convenient and faster bookings, as well as touch up work on all 14 treatment rooms and the exterior.

Contemporary Thai style design and décor in natural tones will ingeniously reflect the ‘garden in heaven’ concept derived from ancient Thai literature, Tribhumphraruang, so that Devarana guests can expect tranquil new elegance and luxury, intricate textures, natural hues, and exquisite details.

“From the beginning, we’ve been strongly committed to the challenge of making Devarana Spa, starting with its Dusit Thani setting, as the finest spa in Thailand and one of the great spas in the world,” said Managing Director Ms. Wipawadee Sirimongkolkasem. “Our original designer, P Interior & Associates has created blueprints that when turned into reality will surely prove a new enhancement to the garden in heaven experience that’s Devarana Spa.”

During the renovation, the spa will be temporarily relocated to the East Wing of the Dusit Thani, with the same hours of operation from 9 am to 10 pm. During the renovation period most of the treatments from the Devarana Spa Menu will be offered at special rates.
