Singapore Airlines launches Transit in Singapore promotion

Travel News Asia 27 October 2005

Singapore Airlines has teamed up with Singapore Changi Airport to wow the airline’s customers with a host of treats and privileges when they transit the airport. Through this programme, Singapore Airlines customers can enjoy the airport’s numerous shopping, dining and lifestyle services at discounts of up to 50%, while also accessing the airport’s many other services for free. These include ‘LIVE’ world news at Skyplex Entertainment Complex, blockbusters at the Movie Theatre, internet access at over 200 kiosks, Xbox at iConnect and chair massages at The Oasis lounge, available at Terminal 2 of Changi Airport.

All customers need to do is to present their Singapore Airlines boarding pass, valid for same day travel, to enjoy these treats.

“Singapore Airlines’ customers need never worry about a dull or stressful moment while in transit at Singapore Changi Airport. From shopping and dining, to relaxing full body massages, beauty treatments and aroma oxygen therapy, the world’s best airline, offers customers the world’s best transit experience,” said Mr Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines’ Executive Vice President for Marketing and the Regions.

The Transit Singapore programme seeks to help Singapore Airlines customers discover the variety of transit attractions and facilities that dot the airport. The programme even recommends activities based on the number of hours in transit.

Amongst other things, the programme offers Singapore Airlines customers the option to rest and relax at the Plaza Premium Lounge located at the airport’s Terminal 2, at substantially discounted rates. Open 24 hours daily, the lounge offers a range of facilities and services such as gym, oxygen and massage therapies, showers and rest areas.
