Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts has
appointed Mr. Winston Reinboth as General Manager for Le Méridien Kota
Kinabalu.
An Australian national, Mr Reinboth has enjoyed a distinguished hospitality career that began when he joined the opening team for the Adelaide Hilton Hotel in 1982.
In 1987 he moved to head up the National Sales team for Hilton in South Australia and the Northern Territory and in 1989 was promoted to the position of Director of
Sales at Perth’s Parmelia Hilton.
Mr Reinboth left Hilton in 1990 to return to Adelaide as the Director of Marketing for a successful independent hotel.
Joining Sheraton in 1992 as Director of Sales and Marketing at the
Sheraton Noosa Resort property, he was responsible for improving occupancy levels and
average rate return whilst playing a key role in promoting Noosa as highly a desirable destination in the competitive Australian leisure and MICE markets.
Returning to Hilton in 1995, Mr Reinboth took up the Director of Sales & Marketing role at the Tokyo Bay Hilton where he implemented new procedures in sales and
reservations, growing room rates and revenues and expanding market segments.
