Air India Board approves Aircraft Acquisition Plan

Air India's Board has approved an aircraft acquisition plan. The plan envisages procurement of:

- 8 Boeing 777-200LR Medium Capacity Ultra Long Range aircraft in a three-class configuration;
- 15 Boeing 777-300ER Medium Capacity Long Range-350 seater, in a three-class configuration, and
- 27 Boeing 787 Medium Capacity Long Range-250 seater, in a two class configuration

Government approval is still required before the airline can place the orders.
