Madame Tussauds Hong Kong to close for HK$20 Million expansion project

As part of the Peak Tower Renovation, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is to undergo a HK$20 Million expansion project, building a brand new entrance area on level 3 of the Peak Tower and adding a further 7000 sq ft of exhibition space.

Edward Fuller, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, said “The new look Madame Tussauds Hong Kong will include a large number of new wax figures of famous celebrities in Asia in addition to many new and exciting interactive experiences”. 

“We will add more audiovisual highlights and interactive attractions into our existing areas, including the Hall of the Great People, Celebrity Party, Sports World, Music Legends and Movie World”.

“We are also delighted to expand the exhibition by over 7000 sq. ft and to provide our guests with a brand new entrance area”.

The attraction will temporarily close on 1 September 2005 to carry out the expansion project, with the new look Madame Tussauds Hong Kong expected to open to the public on 1 March 2006.
