Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has appointed Martyn Standen as general manager of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, its flagship property in Malaysia, which opened in
October 2004. He moves from a similar role at The Regent Shanghai.
A British national, Martyn brings
to his new role more than 22-years of experience with large international hotel groups in Asia and the
Middle East.
His first general manager appointment was in 1996 at the Amman Marriott Hotel in Jordan. While working for Marriott he was
nominated twice an Associate for the JW Marriott Award for Excellence; Asian Director of Finance of the Year; Global Event Manager of the Year and
was the winner of the Asian Cluster Marketing Award.
