Peninsula Hotels in Asia launch 'Shop & Relax' promotion

Shopping remains one of Asia's key attractions and there has never been a better time to explore the cities' shops for unique finds. From June 1 through August 31, 2005, The Peninsula Hotels in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Beijing and Manila are offering savvy shoppers "Shop & Relax," a two-night package that invites guests to shop to their hearts' content by day and get pampered and relax at the hotel by night. 

The Peninsula Hotels are ideally located within walking distance or a short ride to the best luxury shops and boutique stores. "Shop & Relax" guests are armed with a special shopping basket personalized to each location including items such as store guides and maps, mini calculators, bargaining tools or other helpful items. Each of the hotels also offers exclusive luxurious amenities to help the traveler with a hassle-free shopping experience, such as spa treatments, chauffeured transportation and luxury gifts from selected shops. 

The Peninsula Hong Kong's "Shop & Relax" package includes a 20% discount at The Peninsula Boutique and Clarins at The Peninsula Spa; an exclusive offer each month from one of The Peninsula Arcade's Dior, Bulgari or Piaget stores; champagne for two persons at the popular Philippe Starck-designed restaurant Felix and daily breakfast for two. "Shop & Relax" rates at The Peninsula Hong Kong start at HK$3,900 (US$500) per night. 

At The Peninsula Palace Beijing guests receive two relaxing 60-minute foot reflexology or body massage treatments - a great way to relax the muscles after a busy day shopping the Chinese capital. Guests also receive Club Level facilities and benefits, such as private check-in/out, complimentary daily breakfast for two and afternoon tea and evening cocktails at The Club Lounge. The Peninsula Palace Beijing's "Shop & Relax" rates start from US$290 per night.

Guests of the "Shop & Relax" package at The Peninsula Bangkok can personalize their stay with a choice of one of the following activities: one round of golf at Thai Country Club for two people; or a 50-minute aromatherapy massage for two at The Fitness Center; or one round of golf and one 50-minute aromatherapy massage. Complimentary one-way airport transfer and daily breakfast for two are also included in the package. The shopping basket also includes two one-day sky train tickets and an invitation to The Louis Vuitton Private VIP Shopping Room. The "Shop & Relax" rate at The Peninsula Bangkok is US$275 per night for a Balcony Room.

Working closely with the upscale Greenbelt shopping centre a few minutes walk from The Peninsula Manila , "Shop & Relax" guests can enjoy a personal shopping guide, use of a chauffeur driven limo to and from the airport and to Greenbelt, and complimentary breakfast, tea and evening cocktails at the Club Lounge. In addition, shoppers receive a 10% discount for cash and 5% discount for credit card transactions in selected participating boutiques in Greenbelt 3 & 4. Room rates for "Shop & Relax" at The Peninsula Manila start at US$240 per night. 

Subject to availability, the "Shop & Relax" package is based on double occupancy and a minimum of two nights stay. Package rates do not include local service charges and applicable government taxes and cannot be used in conjunction with other special promotions or offers.
