Diamonds stolen at Schiphol

A KLM Cargo armored car containing valuable goods was hijacked on the cargo ramp at Schiphol this morning. KLM security staff were threatened during the heist, but no one was injured.

The shipment of valuables, which was on its way to a flight bound for Antwerp, consisted mainly of diamonds and jewelry. The thieves made off with the armored car and the shipment. The armored car was later recovered. The thieves are still at large. The Dutch Royal Constabulary are heading the investigation.
