Bonus Miles for Economy Class Travel on Gulf Air

Travel News Asia 24 May 2005

Gulf Air is awarding triple miles on Economy Class travel to selected destinations across the GCC and further afield during a promotion which runs until 15 June 2005.

“We are giving away three times the usual number of frequent flyer miles for Economy Class travel,” said Louise Robertson, Manager Loyalty Programmes at Gulf Air. “The triple bonus means free reward flights are faster and easier to earn. For instance, a return flight from Bahrain to London would normally earn 6,308 miles in Economy Class, but with this triple mile offer, the mileage earned is a generous 18,924 – enough miles for a return Economy Class ticket from Bahrain to Athens, Istanbul or Larnaca.”

“Gulf Air values the loyalty and support of our frequent flyers,” said Louise Robertson, Manager Loyalty Programmes at Gulf Air. “This latest offer gives us a chance to thank frequent flyers by making travel even more rewarding.”

The offer is valid for Economy Class travel from Abu Dhabi or Dubai to: Bahrain, Beirut, Frankfurt, Kuwait, London and Paris; from Bahrain to: Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Dubai, Frankfurt, Kuwait, London and Paris; from Doha to: Bahrain, Beirut, Dubai, Frankfurt, Kuwait, London and Paris, and from Muscat to: Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Beirut, Dubai, Frankfurt, Kuwait, London and Paris until 15 June 2005.

The bonus mileage is calculated on the standard Economy Class mileage award as stipulated in the Gulf Air Frequent flyer membership guide. Family members are also entitled to the triple miles offered under the promotion.

Gulf Air Frequent flyer Silver and Gold members will receive an additional 25% and 50% tier bonuses. Theses bonuses will also be calculated on the standard Economy Class mileage award for that sector.
