McDonald's and Tiger Airways launch Promotion in Singapore

McDonald’s is collaborating with Tiger Airways, a Singapore-based low cost airline, to offer customers in Singapore the 'Tastiest Travel Deal in Town' promotion which entitles customers who buy a McDonald’s Grilled Chicken Foldover Meal the chance to travel on Tiger Airways to popular destinations from S$14.98 per way (prices exclude taxes and fees). Customers will receive a McDonald’s Tasty Deal Scratch Card that offers the exciting possibility of flying to and from popular places like Bangkok and Krabi from only $14.98 per single trip or a free McDonald’s Regular Fries.

Mr Kenneth Chan, General Manager of McDonald’s Restaurants in Singapore, said, “The collaboration with Tiger Airways is synergistic as both brands are about offering value and convenience. As a brand that is forever young, McDonald’s is always looking to offer more innovative promotions that are fun and engaging for our customers.”

Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davis said, “McDonald’s distribution network covers almost every corner of Singapore and is patronized by more than a million customers every week. This joint promotion will ensure that almost everyone living and visiting Singapore during the promotion period will have a chance to win a lucky trip on Tiger Airways.”

The McDonald’s and Tiger Airways Tastiest Travel Deal In Town promotion will run from October 25 to November 13, 2005. Each week, there will be a few destinations that are randomly indicated on the McDonald’s Tasty Deal Scratch Cards. Destinations include Bangkok, Hat Yai, Manila (Clark), Phuket, Hanoi, Krabi, Macau and Padang.

Bookings must be made by November 16, 2005 and fares are subject to availability, and valid for travel between January 5 to March 25, 2006 with close out dates on January 6 to 10, January 26 to January 31 and March 10 to 19, 2006.
