Singapore Airlines signs Codeshare Agreement with Asiana Airlines

Travel News Asia 23 September 2005

From 28 September 2005, customers of Singapore Airlines and Asiana Airlines travelling between the Singapore and Seoul will be able to benefit from a greater choice of flights, thanks to a codeshare agreement signed by the two airlines.

Whilst initially, the co-operation applies only to services between the two cities, the airlines plan to progressively expand the codeshare co-operation to include Trans-Pacific flights beyond Seoul, domestic destinations in South Korea, intra-travel in North Asia and flights beyond Singapore.

“The new codeshare cooperation reflects the ever growing relationship with our Star Alliance partner, Asiana. It presents customers of both airlines with more travel options. We are confident that this cooperation will further stimulate travel with the two partner airlines,” said Singapore Airlines’ Executive Vice President, Marketing and the Regions.
