Le Méridien Hotels and Resorts has
appointed Ms. Alka Alimchandani as Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Alka will support in the deployment of
the brand throughout the region. Her focuses are to develop and implement the global and regional marketing products and programmes, and advertising campaigns,
within Asia Pacific. She reports directly to Frank Foster, Senior Vice President Marketing, Asia Pacific based in the Regional Marketing Office in Singapore.
Alka joined Le Méridien in 2003 and has recently transferred from the position of Creating Buzz for the chic hotel Le Méridien Cyberport in Hong Kong, where she was
involved in pre and post opening of the hotel and the property’s marketing activities.
Alka, a British national, has over 8 years of marketing experience in connection to Le Méridien, where she previously lead the regional account at TBWA Hong Kong as
Account Director for 3 years, and prior to that at Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong for 4 years, covering brands including the hotel group as well as Chivas Regal,
Absolut, Japan Tobacco and Northwest Airlines.
